How do authorities know people are dying from Corona Virus?

I just take these states for their word but let's be real, without a full autopsy, nobody knows for certain.

But let's face it, this is also a big business. You know these state Governors won't say it but they are getting a ton of money from the Federal Government right now due to Corona. They are funding projects right now in their states they never allocated funds for or due to the mismanagement of their annual budgets. How many of them are taking this as an opportunity to fund everything in their cities?

It's completely feasible, in their minds, if someone dies in their states, they want to ensure it's from the Corona Virus. They'll never say that of course.
